In 2016 I started as a PhD candidate at the Department of Economics and the Research Center for Education and the Labour Market (ROA) situated at the Maastricht University School of Business and Economics in the Netherlands. I am studying the dynamics and trajectories into and out of NEET (Not in Employment, Education, or Training) in the Netherlands under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Rolf van der Velden and Dr. Mark Levels.

My dissertation is part of an international effort aimed at “Understanding NEETS. Individual and institutional determinants of youth inactivity in France, Germany, Japan, the Netherlands, and the UK.” which is made possible by a grant of the Open Research Area for the Social sciences (ORA).
